I visited the Conrad Hong Kong Hotel on 20 October 2014 with my schoolmates. We attended a career talk on the hotel industry delivered by the staff and had a visit to different areas of the hotel, including the restaurants, guest rooms and function rooms. We learned a lot about the work of different departments of a hotel and the wide variety of services provided by the hotel. We also learned that qualifications are not the most important for working in a hotel. In fact, the communication skills and a friendly attitude to customers are more important. A staff member shared with us how she overcame various difficulties and how she learned to be patient and polite even when handling difficult customers. She added that helping customers and giving them a wonderful memory during their stay in the hotel gave her a great sense of satisfaction.

We have made our first visit to a hotel in Hong Kong, from which we benefit a great deal. We are impressed by the astonishing décor which has created a sophisticated ambience. In addition to the interior decoration, the hotel staff are well-trained and sincere. During the hotel tour, they are able to deliver messages in a humorous way and answer our questions in a professional manner. We are very attentive during the talk as we have experienced a very interactive presentation including a game at the end. Thank you very much for organizing such a wonderful hotel visit!
