The hotel tour to InterContinental Hotel Hong Kong was an amazing one. In the visit, we were first introduced to the InterContinental Hotels Group and the hotel itself by Ms. Regina Chu, Director of Learning Development. She explained the duties of different departments as well as answered our questions about hotel operation. Then we visited the business suite and a CEO suite which had the best view of the Victoria Harbour! We also had a chance to visit the restaurants in the Food and Beverage Department, Nobu and Yan Toh Heen. The beautiful décor created an elegant ambience in both restaurants. It was a great and precious visit, because students like us could hardly visit the rooms of luxurious hotels, this visit had provided us with the most unforgettable experience. During the visit, I found out that a foreign waiter at the Chinese restaurant actually spoke Cantonese. I was very astounded then and realized that good language abilities and the ability to serve every customer right is what makes this hotel’s service so renowned.
