In this visit to the Food Cultural Museum of Tao Heung, I learned a lot about the history of food culture in Hong Kong and the development of the catering industry. The exhibits were of historical meaning. The most interesting part is the food stall “Dai Pai Dong” because there are not any Dai Pai Dongs nowadays. Through the whole visit, I know more about the history of Dai Pai Dong. As such, this visit is worthwhile and we could learn much in it.

After visiting the Food Cultural Museum of Tao Heung, I understand and learn more about the history of Chinese catering. Most of the exhibits were of great historical value. Moreover, there were introduction passages about them. What interested most is the “MunHan feast” which does not exist anymore. However, I could learn about the different ingredients for various kinds of dishes and their history. As such, this is a good visit.
