Competition Commission

The Competition Commission (Commission) is an independent statutory body established under the Competition Ordinance (Cap. 619). The Competition Ordinance prohibits anti-competitive conduct by businesses to ensure an open and competitive market, which is conductive to bringing increased choice, lower prices and better quality of goods and services to consumers in Hong Kong.

The Commission is continuing its momentum to increase awareness of the Competition Ordinance among members of the public, businesses and youngsters, and to promote compliance through different advocacy and educational initiatives. Through the Business-School Partnership Programme, we aim to broaden our engagement with students and deepen their understanding of the importance of fair competition in the marketplace before they join the workforce.
