Civil Engineering and Development Department

The Civil Engineering and Development Department (CEDD) is dedicated to providing quality engineering services to address the development needs of Hong Kong. There are four main areas of services provided by CEDD, viz. provision of land and infrastructure, port and marine services, geotechnical services and environmental and sustainability services.

CEDD provides a structured educational programme titled “Youth Academy of Civil Engineering and Development” to let secondary school students understand the work and duties of different professions under CEDD. It aims to facilitate the students to explore their career prospect in these professions.
