Over the last 50 years, the Department of Mechanical Engineering of the University of Hong Kong has been nurturing mechanical engineering talents and leaders in a great variety of industries including utility services, building services, manufacturing, aircraft maintenance and environmental consultant services, both locally and regionally.

Department of Mechanical Engineering of the University of Hong Kong is launching a programme to establish a sustainable development of the biomedical community, and is dedicated to bridge the students to academia and industries. Through the “Business-School Partnership Programme”, department of Mechanical Engineering of the University of Hong Kong wish to extend the reach of biomedical community to secondary schools, in particular to senior secondary school students, teachers, and parents who are interested in the biomedical industry in Hong Kong. Department of Mechanical Engineering of the University of Hong Kong are passionate to provide exposure to students and broaden their horizons in the biomedical field as they advance to the tertiary education in near future.

Electrical and Mechanical Services Department (EMSD) provides various educational programmes for students through the “Business-School Partnership Programme”. Students can gain insight of electrical and mechanical safety, operation of EMSD and career prospects of the engineering industry for facilitating life planning education.
