Internet Professional Association Limited
Internet Professional Association is a non-profit organization which founded in 1999, it dedicated to promoting information and communication technology, narrowing digital exclusive access, providing more opportunities for information and knowledge access, promoting the development and correct application of Hong Kong Internet technology, and create more business opportunities and job opportunities in Hong Kong, China and international markets for members.
Now we have accumulated more than 7,000 members from various membership categories. The membership categories include honorary members, life fellow members, fellow members, life full members, full members, associate members, student members, and affiliate members. Members of this association come from different professional areas that use the Internet extensively, including CEOs and senior executives from leading companies in the information technology industry, as well as related innovative design, sales, marketing, infrastructure, e-commerce, consulting, investment and other Internet-related Expertise in professional services.
The association organizes joint efforts to strengthen the connection between the ICT industry, government and the public. Among them, the council members of the Association actively participate in consultations under the government departments of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region, and propose the best strategies for the application of information technology and industry development in Hong Kong.
In addition, our members have also continued to actively participate in social services and professional services in the past. In the past 22 years, the Association has brought more than 520 events to the industry and the public, and its contributions have been widely recognized by all walks of life in Hong Kong.
With an aim to promoting the concept and the applications of Big Data to the youngsters, and providing chances to facilitate the participants to use some tools via hands-on workshop.
Through the “Business-School Partnership Programme”, iProA provides educational programmes such as Big Data seminar(school talk), Big Data workshop to enhance their awareness of the importance of Big Data nowadays and increase their understanding of the data industry, thereby helping them plan their future studies and career path, and enhancing the sustainable development of the industry.
