Lands Department

Established in April 1982, the Lands Department is in charge of all land matters in Hong Kong. Apart from land disposal and allocation, valuation, acquisition, land enforcement and approving deeds of mutual covenant of development projects. The department also conducts land surveys, produces maps in both paper and digital forms and develops the Common Spatial Data Infrastructure and the 3D Digital Map, thereby contributing to Hong Kong’s smart city initiatives.

Through the Business-School Partnership Programme, Lands Department would like to provide opportunities for students, who are interested in the land administration and surveying industry, to obtain a deeper understanding of the industry prospect, job requirements, duties, and the study pathways through the hands-on workshop, thereby improving students’ life planning with sufficient information.
