Rating and Valuation Department

The Rating and Valuation Department (RVD) is primarily responsible for the assessment of properties to rates and Government rent, maintaining accounts and issuing demand notes for their collection. RVD provides property valuation advice to Government Bureaux and Departments and compile timely and reliable property market statistics. RVD also provides advisory and mediatory services on landlord and tenant matters.

Through the “Business-School Partnership Programme”, RVD enables students to know about the job description in estate surveying, career pathway and entry requirements of the sector and the major functions of RVD.

We aim at helping the students better understand their future life pathways and enhancing the sustainable development of estate surveying sector.
